Great service and friendly locals! My fiance and I felt right at home while on our vacation up here.

Enjoyed a beer or two here this past holiday. The place is very cool, nice views, and a great place to meet with friends. Given they specialize in beer, I was hoping they would have some unique and interesting beers on tap. Unfortunately, most of them were pretty standard. I give them four stars only because the beer was good, but not unexpected or exceptional. The food looked good, but I did not have any food. Staff was friendly. This beer was the Novemberfest (it was December when I was there). It was a good Marzen beer.

Great place! Would have a better experience if the greeting was sooner and more professional. Also wait staff don't really update you on you food amd found myself constantly looking for my waiter/waitress. Food is awesome and drink selection is great. That's what gave the 4. Would be a five just need to improve on customer service.

Get the summer sampler if you're unsure of what to get AND can't stomach IPA's. Nice fruity light mix. Also: Maple bacon donuts!

Open-air seating enjoying a cold beer

Very disappointed, we were the first customers on a beautiful sunny saturday, we sat and waited way too long for our waitress to show up to take our drink orders. Our waitress was not very attentive. Food was not good and the menu needs to be improved. Not enough choices for the $$.

Beautiful spot with a great view on a nice day. Interior is open and industrial, outside seating and lawn area, sometimes with live music. Food, mixed drinks, and service were nothing extra special but good stuff. Check it out on a sunny day.

Love the food and great beer! Staff are down to earth and I look forward to stopping by. They have a hoppy flight that is the best on south shore.

Great winter style beers on tap!

Most of the food was pretty good; pizza wasn't. Service at the bar was horrendous.

We chose this place for their menu of many things that sounded delicious. We sat outside on a beautiful day Food was awesome! Staff was eztremely friendly and helpful. And last but not least very good beer selection!! Rob and Michelle

We had a great night. Food was delicious. We ate at the bar and the bartenders were great! A perfect view to see the music at the launch.

We had a wonderful time at the Beer Works tonight. It was a weeknight and not too busy. Our server, James, provided excellent service. I am a person who cannot eat any dairy products, which I reported to James. He took me quite seriously. He came back to verify questions in regards to my order. When the food came, the manager delivered it and assured me it was dairy-free. My meal was excellent. We had shared appetizers and I ordered the lobster avocado toast as my meal. It was a generous portion and tasted very good. My friend ordered Turkey Tips, which were also yummy. Everything I tasted was delicious. Our service was great! I recommend going here if you want a fun restaurant on the water with both indoor and outdoor dining... a variety of brews and good food and service! Try this restaurant out... and if James is working, ask to be seated at one of his tables!

I have no idea how this place is still open. Horrible food, horrible service. Other than a beautiful view, there was nothing that made our visit worthwhile.

First off no one greeted us when we walked in. Basically stood there waiting. Finally someone came over and sat us. Sat down and waited for 15 mins to take a drink order and appetizer order. Our appetizers came out before our drinks. Food was barely hot. The waiter apologized for it being so slow because they were understaffed, but it still doesn’t mean the service should be that bad. The manager came over to check on us but didn’t even apologize. This was my worst experience here. I would not recommend going there.

I have been going here for years. Here's my take. Food-wise stick to the turkey tips; affordable delicious and healthy. Sandwiches are nothing special and I once had a blackened chicken sandwich that was... objectionable. Salads are nice. I wouldn't foray into the wine or cocktails, I dunno, but the beers are "decent". Contender IPA is my usual. I can't say much about the sports viewing experience. For a place that has Beer in their name, should they have a more robust selection? Yes. It's not bad though, and the whole experience still leaves a good impression on first-timers I bring here.

We eat often at Beerworks (despite the fact that I don't drink!). The food is good, though I do sometimes wish for greater portion sizes. The various fries are a highlight and tasty. The location is beautiful.

Very good place. Nice view. 3 of us tasted 12 types of beer. Very friendly staff. The food is normal - American style. If you are beer lover who want to taste different types of beer which was told brewed at the restaurant, this should be your choice. I will surely come back here and recommend my other oversea friends to this place.

We had a horrible experience dining at the beer Works in Hingham. From the host stand staff to the service staff they were very own hospitable and clearly not trained. We asked to speak to the manager and he acted like he didn’t care and we were wasting his time. We reached out through the corporate website and was contacted by the regional manager who also clearly did not make us feel like it mattered to them. What a shame. We will not return.

The beers are diverse, the food is really good bar food (qualifier: bar food), and the location is great. Loses a star because it is way, way too loud and trashy on "game days." It used to be that there were "sports bars." Now every bar has to crank up the games.

Always tasty! Don't let the low ratings fool you. This place has really great chili and awesome beer!

Went there last sat night , hostess at front was very rude and not accommodating She would not seat us in booth we wanted and made faces at us ! We had party of 7 so we talked with older manager he said ok , then when he allowed one person to sit End of the booth , she came over and nastily said not allowed ! She should not be at front of your restaurant ! Menu has changed much smaller than before they took off a lot of the small bite appetizers that were good idk place never seems to get it right ! Food was just ok. Service was on slow side but waitress was pleasant ! Needs better seating as well those hard wood seats very uncomfortable 😣 and hard metal outside !

Food was good, but service was very slow. Not sure we will come back even though the menu had a great variety. The campechana was excellent. Mac and cheese was perfect. But wait staff was very indifferent and ambivalent.

Went here on a Wednesday afternoon. It was not busy. Service was unbelievably slow and my simple order (one flight of beers) was incorrectly prepared twice. They also were out of numerous beers, with no indication on the menu. Twice I asked for replacements of these absent beers, waited 15 minutes, and was again informed that the newly requested beer was also unavailable. Exasperating to say the least. Bills were incorrectly issued and getting change seemed like a tremendous burden. The staff seemed constantly confused and unaware of our group's needs.The beers were good, but nearly good enough to make up for the poor service. Buy these beera from a bottle shop or literally anywhere else, because I absolutely do not recommend going here.

Love the beer and the armosphere. Service is atrocious. We waited about 15 min before a server came to our table, then waited an additional 15-20min before drinks were served and the same for each subsequent round. 3 of us ordered food, 2 of the orders came out incorrect. 1 completely wrong order and the other was an allergy that was never noted. Nothing was done to make the inconveniences worth the while. Next time we'll probably just go to one of the restaurants across the street. Advice: if you come, just hang at the bar...avoid the restaurant and service. Inexperienced and unprofessional.

First time visiting and really enjoyed it. Wait staff was excellent. Food was excellent. Will definitely return

Plenty of beer choices. My sandwich was dry and flavorless. They did take it off the bill and give us a free desert. Staff is friendly. I will give them another try.

Great place to come in the summer for harbor views from their impressively large patio. Food is what you would except from an all-America bar: lots of burgers, nachos, salads and other sandwiches. Food portions are on the massive side. Food is alright but nothing spectacular. Beer list is impressively large with some interesting brews to taste.

I've been to the Hingham Beerworks several times. Beer is always good and the food is usually good. However, I went today and sat at the bar for 20 minutes and no one waited on me. There was a party of about 6 people to my right getting service, and a lone gentleman to my left who looked like he was also being ignored. Just got up and left, went across the street and got service right away. Please note: The HBW was not that busy.......

Disappointing service. Asked to be moved to a better (read: off the street) table, only to be told they didn’t have enough wait staff in that section to move us. Less than 10 minutes later, customers were sat at those tables. Hostess was rude. Service was slow. On the bright side, the beer was cold and the sangria was tasty.Quick update. No silverware or napkins were provided.

Did a paint night here, so only ordered a drink but service was great and the ambiance was top notch

First time won't be the last. Clean plating lots of options yet not overwhelming.

Waste of time ...if you have nothing better to do try it. They cant even seat people properly, they told us 10 min wait..we ended up waiting for 30 min...never again

Second time here and food was just ok again. Wanted to love it, but since there are so many other options will go elsewhere.

Overall, a dissapoint, the shrimp tacos had three small shrimp in one and two in the other. Some avocado was swimming in ciracha sauce, with little to none lettuce. The fries were average . The server was pleasant but the food took over twenty-five minutes for an uncrowded establishment on a sunday after noon. But the reason for going was the beer, which at $9.00 for 10 ounces of thick flavorful higher alcohol, fresh beer was outstanding. All in all I wouldn't return due to the wait and lack of quality in my food.

Nice atmosphere, not to loud but active vibe. good selection of beers and ales. Been there twice in last few weeks and food not as consistent as in the past. At first visit the apps (duck spring rolls and pork belly steamed buns) were very tasty, but my rare burger came out well done. To be fair the manager came out and apologized and got me another, but that was again done medium at best. My wife described the seasoning on her salmon as only okay. Went back with a big group of over 20 a few days ago. The service was attentive, and all the food came out at the same time and hot. Most seemed to enjoy their fare. I went with the steak and ale pie this time, since that would be hard to overcook. Nice flaky crust and tender meat, but by about halfway through the saltiness overwhelmed the other flavors. Great place to meet friends but not a destination specifically for food

I like this place. Great location. It is located at a water view area in the Hingham shipyard. Tons of parking availability even on weekend. Kind of quiet area. They have outside tables with shipyard view and also inside table are also nice with TV's and relaxing atmosphere. Staff members are good. We had a beer sampler. Typically 4 kinds and about $10. We (2 people) did 5 kinds and it was like $12. Fun. Foods may not be particularly great, but if you want to have some beer and relax, any typical sandwiches, burgers would sound good, right? I got this Asian style wrap ($12). Quiet and relaxing because of the location. Not laud. I would come some times on Saturdays in warmer seasons. Much better than Marina bay!

Went here on a Friday night not expecting too much, and were presently surprised. The beer was quite good (“the contender” ipa was reminiscent of bells 2 hearted) and the food was very solid. The tater tots and calamari were perfectly prepared - crisp and wonderful. Would go again in heartbeat.

Great Beer Selection, Awesome Food. There is usually a wait, but it is worth it. They make all of their own beer so if you have a style or favorite beer, tell them what you like and they will find something for you. Everything on the menu is delicious. I have eaten here dozens of times over the years and never had a bad experience.

My boyfriend and I only went here because the brunch place nearby was closed. The food here was very middle of the road. The fries were really good. Someone who loves applebees or chilis will like this place. The sangria didn't seem to have very much alcohol. The tacos could be great, but they seemed to be missing something. The chicken sandwich was decent.

Absolutely terrible. The food took forever to come. My partner ordered white wine and received red wine. The server didn't bother refilling the water until the very end and never checked on how the food was.

I cannot give this establishment anymore chances. Nothing worse then your seat has crumbs and crayons on it yuck. Our server not only forgot to take our order while she was too busy texting on her phone mean while I’m still waiting on my drink, but my breaking point was was smoking one of those electric cigarettes in the RESTAURANT!! YUCK!! I’ve never been so applauded. The price to come here was not worth it. I was better off going to a dive bar. You have lost my service beerworks!

Very fun place. I go a lot, especially in the summer. The Friday night free concerts are very good. There held outside right in front of the ocean. GREAT!!!!

They cut half menu and raised the prices. Waitress explained management was trying to make the restaurant more “posh”. Food quality and atmosphere went down... 2 other people i ate there with got sick... manager really didn’t seem to care at all. Don’t plan on ever going back. Such a shame.. it really was a great place.
